Given its subject matter and time slot, A Bite of China was initially considered a "weak player" on TV.
Surprisingly, the documentary became popular immediately after airing, and has made viewers go beyond thinking about delicacies.

We could see some peasants were busy getting in the crops in the fields， and others were picking fruits under the trees. All the baskets were full of lovely fruits. It was also the fruit of the peasants labour. No pains， no gains. What a magnificent/beautiful picture(it was)! It seemed as if we were wandering in a splendid/wonderful world.

We would like to extend our condolences to those affected by this terrible natural disaster. Below is a special report on the earthquake and the rescue operations taking place.
